Technical Information for Excalibur® 400FF Series

Stencil: All types of stencils may be used for screen printing 400FF Series. If Phthalate Free prints are a requirement use phthalate free photo emulsion to prevent contamination.

Screen Mesh: Use a screen mesh count of 60 to 160/inch (24T to 64Tcm). The choice of screen mesh depends on the ink deposit and opacity required.

Reducer: 501PF Curable Reducer or 502PF Reducer can be used adjust the viscosity of the ink. Up to 3% may be added to reduce the ink.

Curing: 400FF Fast Fusion Plastisol Ink will cure at temperatures as low as 275°F to 285°F or 135°C to 140°C. Extra time for the curing oven may be required. After curing has finished, let the print cool completely. The print should stretch and retract without cracking. If the print cracks too easily, it is under cured and oven temperature should be increased or the speed should be slower. Before a final production run, testing is strongly recommended.

Ink Cleanup: Use Enviro Series 2000 Green or Enviro Series TR Blend.
