Technical Information for Evolution® PVC Free Inks
Storage: Evolution inks should be stored at temperatures less than 30°C (86°F).
Curing: Evolution will cure at temperatures of approximately 320°F (160°C). Note: when the entire thickness of the ink film reaches this temperature it will be cured.
Printing: Evolution Inks should be stirred first before printing. Evolution Inks are thixotropic and will reduce with stirring.
Reducing: Reduce with 4503 reducer (up to 5%). Do not ever use plastisol reducers or solvents because this would contaminate the ink!
Screen Mesh: Up to 305/inch (122T cm) screen mesh can be used.
Stencils: Most photo emulsions and direct/indirect stencil systems are suitable. Note: Make sure emulsions used are Phthalate Free to reduce the risk of Phthalate contamination in the Evolution ink. We recommend ImageMate® DZ 307 and PC 701 which are phthalate free.
Ink Cleanup: Brush in some TR Blend into the ink and wash away with water.
Caution: Great care must be taken to insure that all items such as screens, squeegees, spatulas etc. are free of plastisol residue to avoid contamination. It is highly recommended that a new set of tools be used for Evolution before commencing tests or production.
