Technical Information for Duratex® Water Based Nylon Ink

Screen Mesh: 120-160/inch (48T-64T cm) screen mesh is recommended.

Squeegee: 60-70 durometer squeegee is recommended.

Stencil: Water resistant photographic stencil systems such as DZ 343.

Curing: To provide maximum washability it is recommended that prints be cured through a conveyorized dryer with forced air for at least ½ to ¾ minute at 350°F (177°C) or let air dry and cure with a Heat Transfer Machine at 350°F (177°C) for 15 seconds.

Modifier: Duratex Base can used to extend the ink or to mix colors.

Reducers: Using Reducers with Duratex is not recommended as opacity will be lost and washability and adhesion may be affected. A very small amount of water may be used to thin the ink (not more than 2%).

Retarders: DX 1200 may be used in very small amounts of 2-5%.

Cleanup: Wash with warm water. For difficult spots, use 2000 Green or strong detergent.
